The opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Director, Digital Transformation, we are hiring an Applied AI Engineer to design, build, deploy, and optimize AI-powered applications and solutions that create measurable business value across the organization. As part of ThinkWELL, WELL’s enterprise intelligence, analytics and automation platform, you will focus on delivering AI agents, assistants, and workflow automations using Microsoft Copilot Studio and Power Platform, connected to governed enterprise data through Microsoft Fabric and other approved systems. You will configure and extend platform capabilities, develop integrations, prepare business context and instructions, test solution quality, and support deployment and adoption. Using established platform capabilities alongside code and integrations where needed, you will apply engineering judgment to deliver practical, reliable solutions within WELL’s enterprise architecture.
This is a fully remote role based anywhere in Canada, with a preference for candidates located in Toronto or Vancouver.
Who you are
You are an engineer or technical solution builder who has taken AI-enabled solutions into production. You enjoy working directly with business users to understand their needs, clarify assumptions, navigate technical trade-offs, and turn business challenges into practical solutions. You combine platform configuration with coding and integrations to build reliable applications, and you stay involved throughout deployment, adoption, and ongoing improvement.
You bring technical curiosity and sound judgment to your work. You ask thoughtful questions, challenge assumptions, and work collaboratively with business and technology teams to determine the best approach for each use case.
You are comfortable working through ambiguity and evolving requirements. You know how to use established platform capabilities where they fit, add code where needed, and balance innovation with reliability, security, scalability, and maintainability. You understand that successful AI solutions require more than good prompts: they depend on reliable data access, testing, appropriate controls, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
What's in it for you
Production ownership and impact. You will work alongside AI, data, and technology leaders to bring ThinkWELL solutions into everyday use across WELL. You will own work that reaches production, contribute to business outcomes, and see how the solutions you build help teams improve their workflows and work more effectively.
Build within an evolving enterprise AI platform. You will contribute to WELL’s enterprise intelligence, analytics and automation capabilities, working with Microsoft’s data and AI ecosystem to connect AI applications with governed enterprise data and approved systems. You will help turn prioritized business use cases into practical solutions that can be deployed, adopted, and improved over time.
Learning and growth. You will develop your skills as the platform and team grow, gaining hands-on experience in AI application delivery, enterprise integrations, solution evaluation, and production support. Working across business, data, technology, architecture, and security partners, you will broaden your understanding of how AI solutions are built and maintained within an enterprise environment.
